1. Understand the difference between what we know and what we believe. Wars are fought over confusion between the two.
  2. There are as many religions as there are people in the world plus one.
  3. Learn to separate excitement from happiness, love from fear, and pain from living.
  4. I believe in god, I know there are churches, I just don't think the two have a great deal in common.
  5. Realize that other people can not make you upset, they do not have that power. Only you can become upset about other people.
  6. The United States remains free because the forefathers understood that God gives people freedom, not the government.
  7. Follow the morals of your heart and mind; don't follow the opinions of others.
  8. Learn the sword, it teaches thinking, discipline, honor, courage, and responsibility. The gun is weapon of irrationality and emotion.
  9. Treat your superiors with the greatest respect, treat your inferiors with honor and compassion.
  10. Sometimes the best thing you can do for a person is leave.
  11. To honor a woman with a kind act is not a belittling action, it is a recognition of her power and a sign of respect.
  12. It is better to be lead by an idiot who follows his morals than a politician that is lead by the ratings.
  13. Freedom and equality are on opposite ends of a continuum. Neither one can be maximized without destroying the other.
  14. To be separate is not to be equal; one should not outwardly express his individuality and expect to be treated as an equal in the group; one cannot follow the group and expect to be treated like an individual.
  15. Speak the truth, not what you think others want to hear.
  16. Live as if God is looking over your shoulder at all times and he is not going to forgive you for your sins.
  17. Be your toughest critic, be your strongest supporter.
  18. Anyone can point out problems, but only a few are brave enough offer solutions.
